Dear Parents/Guardians,

Just a quick update re entry and dismissal routines... it seems that there is no 'regular' routine at this point.  We are dealing with temporary walkways that have a lot of ice.  We are salting and ploughing but unless the walkways are safe, we will not ask anyone to use them.  For this reason, we must be constantly assessing and reassessing the situation.  If we feel that we need to use the front entry doors for the majority of students, we will still welcome and dismiss a few students out the back doors, if they are students who go across the back field to get to and from their homes.

Hopefully this helps to clarify the situation.  We apologize again for the inconvenience of the constant change, but we believe that we are modelling 'flexibility' to the students and we also want everyone to know that safety is the first priority.

Please know that we are looking into alternate solutions but that we are limited by physical conditions.

Thank you for your on-going cooperation,

D. Howard-Spik & A. Khan
